Gatekeeper Training

Everybody needs help managing his or her own personal brand and facilitating the kind of relational activity that is so critical to success.  Our experience shows that direct support can be the key factor in whether or not an executive gets out there in the most influential way.  Executive assistants are effectively gatekeepers—the liaison between the executive and potential partners, clients and other critical relationships to the business.  The more proactive and adept your supporting personnel is at managing your relationships, the better, and more effective the executive will be at accelerating these key relationships.

Ferrazzi Greenlight’s full-scale conversion program can help executive assistants and other supporting personnel become the marketing department for the executive’s personal brand, strengthening relationships and improving access to key decision-makers with potential clients.  Our how-to guide will teach the executive’s gatekeeper to focus on “relationship mindsets,” which are the foundation of relationships and the tools that drive one to the next level.

We typically see administrative personnel focusing 80 percent of their time on administrative and 20 percent on relational tasks.  Successful conversion will flip that ratio, refocusing the gatekeeper from reactive administrative task execution to operating as a proactive driver of the relationship action plan.  By the program’s end, executive assistants will possess the same tools around relationship process that their supervisors do and they will understand how to proactively operate it on the boss’s behalf.
